Wireless Zero Configuration

My other laptop was having a problem connecting to my recent TP-Link network setup. Good thing I found this on the Internet.

source
Install Wireless Zero Configuration Service

Before we get started, though, you need to make sure Windows Explorer is configured to display hidden files. If it isn't, open Windows Explorer, click Tools, and select Folder Options. Go to the View tab and check the "Show hidden files and folders" option, then uncheck "Hide protected operating system files (Recommended)." Click OK when finished.

Now, to install the Wireless Zero Configuration service on your system, just follow these steps:

1. Click the Start button, and then click Control Panel.
2. If you're in Category View, then click the Network and Internet Connections icon, then the Network Connections icon. If you're in Classic View, double-click the Network Connections icon.
3. In the Network Connections window, under LAN or High Speed Internet, select the Local Area Connection icon. On the menu bar, click File and select Properties, or just right-click on the Local Area Connection icon and select Properties from the context menu).
4. In the Local Area Connection Properties window, on the General tab, click the Install button.
5. In the Select Network Component Type window, under "Click the type of network component you want to install," click to select the Service icon, then click the Add button.
6. In the Select Network Service window, click the Have Disk button, then the Browse button.
7. In the Locate File window, browse to the C:\Windows\Inf folder (this is a hidden folder). Click to select NETWZC.INF, then click the Open button.
8. In the Install From Disk window, click the OK button.
9. In the Select Network Service window, in the Network Service box, select Microsoft as the manufacturer, then click to select Wireless Zero Configuration.
10. Click the OK button.

At this point you'll need to reboot your PC. With that completed, you should find that the Wireless Zero Configuration service has been successfully installed on your system and you should now have access to the Wireless Networks tab on the Wireless Network Connection icon's Properties page.

Note: If you don't see the Wireless Networks tab when you go back to the Properties page, the most likely reason is that the WZC service did not start. To initialize it, open Administrative Tools in Control Panel and select Services. Scroll down to Wireless Zero Configuration, right-click on it, and select Start. The service is now enabled, and the Wireless Networks tab will be visible in Network Properties.

You can try the procedures above when you have a wifi ready or wifi dongle installed and yet you can't view the available access points.

As they say

Would you believe me If I blog that the US President has influence on the outcome of the NBA game 7.

via

“I’ve got to go with the Lakers again,” Obama said. “I think Gasol may be the best big man in the league right now. He’s different from Dwight Howard, but he’s [got] unbelievable footwork, speed, savvy, he’s playing magnificently.

“Kobe is the fiercest competitor in the league and they’ve got what I continue to believe is the best coach in the NBA right now in Phil Jackson, so they’re going to be formidable and I think it’ll be a tough series. Boston’s a veteran club, but the Lakers are looking pretty good.”

Just what like he said last year against Orlando.
source
"Lakers in six, I think," he said smiling.

Of course you don't believe me. Who am I? And watch out John Wall would be the top pick and Lebron James would be a Bull next season. That's is not a prediction. The President of the United States said that. NBA Commissioner David Stern couldn't afford to broke the President's heart. The NBA commissioner is a lucky guy right now.

Boston on 7

Game 7

Was there really at stake for Paul Pierce when Celtics won or lost against the Lakers?

source

Paul Pierce’s Legacy Will Be Affected
Now this may sound a little hypocritical but Paul Pierce’s legacy IS affected by the outcome of tonight’s game. Yes, Pierce has already accomplished a lot in the NBA and is probably a Hall of Fame player. He’s probably going to get his jersey retired by the Celtics someday too. But winning a second title and being a multiple NBA championship winner makes a huge difference in how you’re remembered. Once you’ve won more than one title, it’s sort of just piling up the wins and accomplishments. But making that leap is huge for how you’re remembered and Pierce knows that.

He wants to be remembered as one of the best Celtics of all-time and rightfully so. He’s had a great career in Beantown. He probably hears the way the older fans talk about Hondo, Cousy, Cowens Russell, Bird, etc. and wants to be mentioned in that group. A second title goes a long way into putting him in that end of the memory bank. Pierce has been sensational over his career. People don’t realize just how good he is. For a five-year stretch, he wasn’t just an incredible offensive talent that made a ton of clutch shots but he was also a pretty savvy defender that held his own with guarding the elite scorers in the NBA. Pierce needs this second title more than Kobe needs his fifth.

If so, then Paul Pierce must be putting a lot of pressure on himself. His already thinking about his legacy when he's game still good enough (game 5). I guess its not a good idea. When you're good enough you just play basketball to win and bring home the 18th banner. If legacy was important to you don't worry the world will talk about it decades from now.

Against all odds into the game 7

NBA Finals heading will have game 7

via
“Well, I’ll allow you guys to enjoy that,” the Celtics coach deadpanned. “But it is here.”

Last night, the Game 4 heroes, the bench, didn’t score a point over the first three quarters despite the increased demand put on Glen Davis, the foul-ravaged Rasheed Wallace and Shelden Williams in Perkins’ absence.

The Celtics’ 67-point game was the lowest in team Finals history, and tied the 1999 Knicks for the second lowest in league Finals history. Their 31-point first half - also a team Finals record - fell one point shy of the league Finals low, held by three teams, including Houston from the Rockets’ 1981 elimination by the Celtics.

They also loss their starting center Kendrick Perkins after hurting his right knee.
source.
With 5:30 remaining in the first quarter of Game 6 of the 2010 NBA Finals, Celtics center Kendrick Perkins landed awkwardly and appeared to injure his right knee while battling for a rebound with Lakers center Andrew Bynum. He was examined by head trainer Eddie Lacerte, along with team physician Brian McKeon, before he was helped off the floor to the locker room by Shelden Williams and Brian Scalabrine. The injury itself, along with the severity of it, is still unknown.

Can Boston still closed it? Celtics fans let's hope that nba finals history
was not against us
, as long as the Big Three play well.

Closed it.

Celtics has prove me wrong about not getting the 18th banner. Now, they're up 3-2 on the series and the remaining games 6, 7 if necessary shifts to LA.

via
Paul Pierce showed signs of life in Game 4, and picked up right where he left off tonight. Pierce ended the night with 27 points, providing the offense that the Celtics needed from their captain.

"Paul was terrific," said Rivers. "He attacked all night. He did it through the offense, he did it through the [isolations], he did it in pick-and-rolls; he made big shots for us. He has great rhythm right now, and we need it."

One game and this series is over.

NBA Mock Draft. With the 19th pick Boston select

The Big three of Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce and Ray Allen will come to an end but hopefully not to soon. This coming draft should help them to prepare of the team's future. On the recent mock draft fantasy it's surprising that the Butler's main man Gordon Hayward was not selected while leading Butler NCAA Title run.

source
This season, I am making a mock draft by polling all of the other teams' fans on who their team should pick. The following is what I got so far from the great NBA fans of SBNation:

1. Washington Wizards- John Wall

2. Philadelphia 76ers- Evan Turner

3. New Jersey Nets- Derrick Favors

4. Minnesota Timberwolves- DeMarcus Cousins

5. Sacramento Kings- Wesley Johnson

6. Golden State Warriors- Al-Farouq Aminu

7. Detroit Pistons- Greg Monroe

8. Los Angeles Clippers- Paul George

9. Utah Jazz- Cole Aldrich

10. Indiana Pacers- Ekpe Udoh

11. New Orleans Hornets- Patrick Patterson

12. Memphis Grizzlies- Xavier Henry

13. Toronto Raptors- Daniel Orton

14. Houston Rockets- Hassan Whiteside

15. Milwaukee Bucks- Ed Davis

16. Minnesota Timberwolves- Luke Babbitt

17. Chicago Bulls- James Anderson

18. Miami Heat- Solomon Alabi

19. Boston Celtics- ???

The main reason if ever the Boston selected him on the first round will be his first-team mentality. That is if Doc Rivers stays as a coach next season.

Kobe on his in-game greatness. The best team win, nonetheless(the outclass-ing game).

I think everybody knew what happened in game 4 of NBA Finals, including the puncing. On how the Celtics subs ripped the Lakers starters on blue-collar plays. Led by none other than "Shrek and Donkey"

source:

Now it should be understood that Davis and Robinson never much knew each other before the late-season trade that liberated Robinson from the New York Knicks, the Celtics parting with the popular Eddie House, a hero of the ’08 championship run. Davis and Robinson were never college teammates, and never paired up in one of those glitzy, all-star high school tournaments. They never were cabin mates at the Five-Star, All-Around-the-World, You-Can-Be-a-Star Basketball Camp.

While Kobe was certain to do a lot of things on the court to proved his greatness. He can make a circus shot. He can make step-back three-point shoot. He can hang in the air and bank a shot at the board. Dunk the ball. He can score off the dribble to cross over then shoot and off the screen then shoot. He can post-up then fade away shot - count them in. He does the dream shake then fake and semi-hook. He has the deadliest mid-range jumper. He command his team as much as he does with the ball. But before greatness, I'll take the team with hustling defense of drooling Glen Davis. Tony Allen's defense. Ray Allen's veteran leadership, orchestrating the offense and the defense. Nate's quickness and the floater. Sheed's technical foul and long-three. Wanna bet?

Paul Pierce and NBA Referee Fight. NOT

During the game 4 of NBA Finals Paul Pierce accidentally punches the referee. It was great moment for Paul Pierce celebrating the and one play.

Sure, it wasn't intentional to get even with the referee for bad calls it just destined to happened. LOL. You know how everybody loves the moment as describe by Glen Davis'.

“Let me tell you something right quick,” he said. “When you’re in the moment, you’re in the moment. If I slobber, snot, spit, please excuse me. Kids, don’t do that. Have manners and things like that.”

It was a moment but just failed. LOL

Boston seems not really going for 18th banner

Was winning the Eastern Conference Final were Celtics only Goal?

Early in the Eastern Playoff series, I think against the Cleveland when the C's Captain wrote on his boston blog

Nothing changes you like fatherhood.

You grow up a lot faster. You just mature -- the things you do off the court, every time you step outside. Every time you step on the court you feel like you’ve got something new to play for. After playing for yourself, your family, you’ve got another person in the world that you have to look after.

My daughter, Prianna Lee, turned two last month. I still remember being in the delivery room. Julie was in labor for six hours. I saw everything. I’ve never seen anything like that, probably as long as I’ve been on this Earth. It was probably the most amazing thing I’ve experienced.

Being a father, it helps you grow, put life in perspective knowing that this little one needs your eye, your teaching, your care for the rest of their life.

I think about it every time I wake up, every time I come home from practice. Now you get done with the game, you get done with practice, I can’t wait to get home and see my little daughter. No matter how your day is going, you go home, you see her, she comes running up to me and you forget all your worries.

I’ve had bad days, bad games and she erases all that stuff for me. That’s the beauty of it. You don’t think about any of your worries when she’s in your arms and she’s giving you a hug because she doesn’t care about none of that stuff.

As told to Globe reporter Julian Benbow.

This sounds like he's done. Ready to retire. No longer wanted to play the game. That include the whole team. And suddenly they flip the switch sending Cleveland and Orlando to go home. I thought Paul Pierce think I should get a ring for daughter? In a world of professional basketball, maybe that is the sweetest thing that you can be done as a player. Can they send their bitter rival go home too?

NBA Finals Officiating at Worst?

Celtics can't win the NBA Finals in Game 5, which I blogged the last time. One reason was the officiating. According to Celtics Coach, Doc Rivers,

via

"Last night, Paul was never in his rhythm. He couldn't be. He played for four minutes, he was back on the bench, played for five minutes. I mean, I played Paul at times last night when I should not have had him on the floor with four fouls, but I had no choice. You've got to get him on the floor at some point.

"But it clearly -- you know, we watched film today, and I showed Paul, it's funny. I said 'Paul, that's a driving lane. You've got to get to the basket.' His response was: 'I was worried about getting another foul.' It's tough to play that way." Through three games, the Celtics have been whistled for 84 personal fouls to the Lakers' 75. Pierce and Kevin Garnett have been whistled for 13 fouls apiece, while Lamar Odom of the Lakers leads all players with 14 personals. Odom has played an average of just 21 minutes per game after averaging nearly 30 minutes over the first three rounds of the postseason.

Does this help to deteriorate the quality of the NBA Game? Maybe, but don't hate the referee, hate the game!

Trash Talking

The latest is Pau Gasol calling Kevin Garnett "lost some step" does this mean he's "soft". He's aging. Pau Gasol only get game one and he's observation seems the series was ended. To me Garnett was really good enough and when you're good enough none of it really matter, that's what they say.

“Before he had a really, really quick first step and was getting to the lane and he was more aggressive then,” Gasol said.

I guarantee, Boston on 5. Four Straight Baby!

NBA Finals; Rivalry Renew; The Big Three, Upcoming Rondo, LA Run, BEAT LA!!!

Nothing much to post today and previous week for that please allow me to re-post this reminder for all of the NBA Fans.

Clearly there are heightened emotions when the Lakers and Celtics play in the Finals. I understand a little trash talk and good natured rivalry. However, I want to make something very clear here. This blog was founded on the concept of community. That means we've done everything we can to create a safe environment for people to discuss the team we love without being insulted or personally attacked. The overriding rule here is simple:

Treat every person on this site with respect.

Here's the key for this series: That respect extends to Laker fans!

Like it or not, that is my request. You don't have to like them, you don't have to agree with them, but you do have to respect them.

Now, don't get me wrong, there are going to be trolls that show up. But that is for the mods to take care of, not you. If you try to engage these trolls, you will be opening yourself up to moderation (and worse). Don't let them bait you into that. Let the mods do their job and move on to the comments that are worth responding to.

I happen to know and respect and LIKE a lot of Laker fans and bloggers. They are good people that just happen to root for another team. Some of those people are going to show up here and I expect them to be treated with the respect they deserve.

Likewise, if you head over to a Laker blog, I fully expect you to act with class worthy of this blog. I would be very disappointed to see otherwise. There's plenty of room for an open exchange of ideas and intelligent discussion with fans of all teams.

So when in doubt, remember the rule. Treat everyone with respect (and let the mods take care of the ones that don't deserve it).

Thanks for understanding.
