Earthquake strikes Japan Again

Right after, the recent earthquake in Japan here comes another earthquake news.

A magnitude 6.6 earthquake hit Japan Monday, approximately 38 kilometers west of Iwaki and 163 kilometers from Tokyo, according to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS). The USGS originally reported the earthquake at magnitude 7.1. The Japan Meteorological Agency also lowered the earthquake’s rating -- from 7.1 down to 7.0.

The quake hit at 5:16 p.m. local time, shaking buildings in Tokyo, triggering landslides and causing fires to break out in the northeast part of the country, including the towns of Iwaki and Asakawa.

A tsunami warning was issued by the Japan Meteorological Agency but was later lifted.

Japan Nuclear Power Plant Leaked

Japanese and the world are now at risk. Due to the nuclear power plant meltdown cause by the Mar 11 Earthquake and Tsunami.

It’s true that the nuclear plant explosions in Fukushima, Japan, a direct result of the earthquake and tsunami that hit Japan on 11 March, leaked radiation around the surrounding areas. However, experts and government authorities have already assured the Philippine public that there’s no truth about any radiation reaching Philippine shores from Japan.

“BBC FLASHNEWS: Japan govt confirms explosion, radiation leak at fukushima nuclear power plants. Asian countries should take necessary precautions. Remain indoors first 24hrs. Close doors n windows. Swab neck skin with betadine where thyroid area is, radiation hits thyroid first. Take extra precaution, radiation may hit Phil. at (sic) starting 4 pm today. Pls send to ur love ones (sic). Prevention is better than cure so no harm to be more cautious esp for our health. God bless us all.”

Japan hits by a Tsunami

I thought it was a movie or an anime scene. This one is real, I can't imagine such thing could happen. Anyway, let us hope for the better and may Japan survive this catastrophe. I'm offering my prayers to the people of Japan. Anyone reading this can do the same too.

I just change my stock tyres to wet & dry tyres. That is according to their salesman at Exceed Caloocan.

Front Tire.



Initially, my budget for tire should not exceed P 5000 both for rear and front tires. Size should be 140/70/17 rear and 110/70/17 front. Yes, that how expensive that tires for motorcycle. Some would argue that it was cheap but to me P5000 was expensive, that's too much. Why? Because I'm a regular employee :D.

Anyway, I'm looking for my new set of tires that can handle wet and dry road(Sorry If I can't go technical about it). There was a cheap tire but according to other users the rubber was to smooth that even a very small crack of glass can cut it of you if the tire run through it against the floor. Then, there is one brand of tire that fits my budget but again no size is available. Since my stock tires were 4 years old already, I really have to change it and ask the salesman what was their "budget tires" and he suggested IRC Tire- Japan. He gave me the computation of their "budget tires" and it sums up at P 7240 including labor and less 10 percent discount. Like I had a choice but to signal the go to installing it.

I guess the only consolation I got with this tire was I didn't compromise my safety on the road. That, I hope. :D Happy riding to me. Yeah
